All lawyers, whether private or corporate, are story tellers and teachers. We all make presentations, whether in the boardroom, in the courtroom, in focus groups, in mediations, or to professional peers. We all strive to make our message memorable—one that meets the basic test of “Make me care.” We are also teachers, who combines images, pictures, colors, and other visual media to help our audience--client, mediator, peer group, judge, or jury--comprehend and remember the information we are conveying. The foundation of a tech strategy is to use visual presentation tools to enhance good story telling and make teachable moments memorable. Without a good story and an awareness of how to make it memorable, you have missed an opportunity. Audience expectation has changed and we must change with it. So open your mind and challenge yourself.
